Gmail removes <style> blocks and most CSS layout from signatures, so SignatureGen writes every style inline on table cells. That is the markup Gmail preserves when you paste a signature into settings, which is why layouts, colors, and spacing stay put. Photos are the one thing to watch: link them from a public URL so Gmail can load them.

How do I add a signature to Gmail?

Open Gmail → Settings (gear icon) → See all settings → General tab → Signature. Click Create new, paste the copied signature, and save. The signature will appear at the bottom of every new message.

Why does my Gmail signature look broken?

Gmail strips <style> blocks, CSS classes, and most modern layout CSS from signatures. SignatureGen generates table-based HTML with every style inline, which is the markup Gmail keeps, so layout, colors, and spacing survive the paste.

Does Gmail clip long signatures?

Gmail limits signatures to 10,000 characters and clips messages whose HTML is larger than about 102KB. A text-only SignatureGen signature is a few thousand characters, and the builder shows a live character count so you can see when an uploaded photo pushes it close to the limit.

Can I include a photo in my Gmail signature?

Yes, but Gmail only shows signature images that live at a public URL. Paste a hosted image link (https://...) into the photo field. Photos uploaded as embedded base64 data are often dropped when pasted into Gmail, and they eat into the 10,000-character limit.

Does it work with Gmail on mobile?

Gmail's Android and iPhone apps use the signature you set on your computer unless you turn on a separate mobile signature, which is plain text only. Set the designed signature up once in Gmail on the web and leave the mobile signature off to keep it.
