The Word-based rendering engine in classic Outlook for Windows is the most restrictive in common use: no flexbox, no grid, and patchy support for padding and margins. How do I add a signature to Outlook?

Classic Outlook for Windows: File → Options → Mail → Signatures → New. New Outlook for Windows and Outlook on the web: Settings → Accounts → Signatures → Add signature. Outlook for Mac: Outlook → Settings → Signatures. Paste the copied signature into the editor and save.

Why do email signatures break in Outlook?

Outlook uses the Word rendering engine for HTML email, which ignores most modern CSS (flexbox, grid, many CSS properties). SignatureGen generates table-based HTML with inline styles — the format Outlook's Word engine expects — so signatures render correctly.

Does it work with Outlook on Mac?

Yes. Outlook for Mac renders HTML with a WebKit-based engine, which is more forgiving than the Word engine in classic Outlook for Windows, so table-based signatures display reliably there too. Add yours under Outlook → Settings → Signatures.

Will my signature work on the Outlook mobile app?

Partly. Outlook for iOS and Android keeps its own signature (tap your profile picture → Settings → Signature), and that editor is best treated as plain text. Your designed signature is still added when you send from Outlook on Windows, Mac, or the web.

Can I use Outlook signature images?

Yes. Paste a hosted image URL (https://...) for the most reliable result. Embedded base64 images are often blocked, stripped, or shown as attachments by Outlook and by recipients' mail clients.
